1901 Hotdog at KLCC

Every 19th of the month - my dinner is at 1901 !

Every 19th of the month, 1901 offers New York Chicken hotdog at $2.99 (Regular) or $3.99 (Large).
Definitely a great offer, you will see throngs of people lining up for this hotdog from morning to night!

I usually order at least 3 hotdogs to last me the day :D

Once Upon a Milk Shake at KLCC

Managed to be one of the first few customers as it was their opening day..

This is their first outlet in Malaysia, which originated from Singapore..
Being a chocolate lover, I tested out their Chocolate Castle..

Boy..was I in for a sweet surprise, the milkshake was thick and yummy! (sorry no pictures..)
There used to be another milkshake outlet (MilkShake Factory) around KLCC but this milkshake was way way way way better!!

After a few sips, I knew I had to bring Mrs here the next day!

Came back on Sunday morning, and bought Mrs her favourite - Agent Strawberry..

and again after lunch, to try their Soft Serve IceCream (RM4.50)

The ice cream is as good as the milkshake.. I had to come back again later for another portion of it..
See below, my new craving at KLCC - Soft Serve IceCream with Cookie Crumbles (RM6.00)

Outlet on Opening Day

Milk Shake Menu

Shibuya Toast (gonna try this soon)

Cookie Crumb with Chocolate IceCream

For me to come back 4 times in 2days, this has got to be a first..
Best milkshake & icecream in KLCC!! Definitely recommended

Rasa Food Arena at KLCC

The lesser known food court in KLCC, Rasa Food Arena!
This is the older food court compared to Signature Food Court, the crowd here is still aplenty

I spied a new Fried Chicken shop taking over the bakery and attempted it
while Mrs has her first go at Pepper Lunch Express

Mrs Pepper Lunch

Beef with Lotsa Pepper (RM15.50)

New Fried Chicken stall

Fried Chicken Menu

Chicken Chop Set (RM10.90)

Mrs din't really fancy pepper lunch, she said its just beef with rice & pepper..
Which my argument being, where else can you get pepper on rice...with beef? :D

Chicken Chop was just mediocre, I did not fancy the mushroom sauce with onions

Pizza Milano KLCC

Had lunch at Pizza Milano, though was only here for their Pasta..
With numerous types of pasta to choose from, i opted for my usual - Carbonara ala Fettucine

The staff wasn't friendly at all, after ordering the cashier practically ignored me and went about to do some other task.. nevertheless let jump into the food..

Counter at Signature Food Court

Pasta Menu

Fettucine Carbonara

I'm absolutely hate their pasta here...
Its definitely the worst pasta I had from around KLCC area...or rather everywhere..

The carbonara was very oily, I could even spot yellow oil all around...
It was tasteless and the portions are not huge..definitely a let down lunch

Tai Thong's Spring Garden Restaurant (KLCC)

Tai Thong recently had a new RM3.89 promo for Dim Sum,
Never missing the opportunity, I had a very pleasant meal with Mrs.

Food was great, infact we were joking on the queue of people eating ourside Mdm Kwan when they can come into Spring Garden which is directly across :)

Behold, our fine meal at an affordable price;

Singapore Fried Bee Hoon

Har Kau

Siew Mai

Wrapped Beancurd

Fried Wantons

Table layed out

Meal was definitely satisfying and tummy-filling...
Do try their food here, I grant you will not regret it !

Senya Dining at Isetan KLCC

Mrs accompanyed me on 2 seperate occasions to Senya Dining recently.

This is inside Isetan KLCC, right after the entrance..
Infront they have packed takeaway sets or you can opt to sit in and enjoy your meal...

Although the place is small, it does feel comfortable

Senya Dining

Chicken Katsu Don (RM16++)

Soft Shell Crab Udon (RM23++)

The udon here is great, i like the soup & the udon noodles.
However, don't get the soft-shell crab udon, its tough and should have been served separately.

The Grand Modestos

I've been working at KLCC close to 3years and always walked acrss Modestos.
Well, its finally time to step in and tryout their dining.

Me & Mrs went for lunch, there was no crowd thus service & food came along quickly.
hmm.. is that a good sign or bad?

As usual, I had my cravings for pasta.. Mrs orders pasta as well.

Pizza Menu (Selected 50% OFF during lunch)

Pasta Menu (selectec 50% OFF during lunch)

Spagetti Aglio E Olio (RM18.00)

Spagetti Carbonara D`Anatra

Food was good, almost on equal ground to Vespa.
The spagetti is slightly tough - Mrs commented that its actually Malaysian made pasta which is soft and the norm is usually tougher.

Was good nonetheless, an apetizing and tasty meal in a lavish restaurant.

Kung Fu Rice at KLCC

I don't often come to KLCC food courts,
Mostly I just come for MCD takeaway or Old Town Coffee break

However, on occasions I do tend to like the food found here... KungFu Bake Rice.
This stall is a subsidiary of Paradise Group and specializes in their Baked Rice

Stall Front

Choice of Meat & Sauce

Noodle Selections

Fish Baked Rice w/ Cheese (RM12.90)

Although slighly pricey, the baked rice is truly a dish you should try at least once.
Its an interesting cooking concept and it makes the rice yummy as well.

With a choice of your favourite meat topping, a plate of this is quite filling.
There can be a queue during lunch peak, so be vary of the current number (shown on display monitor)

Vietnamese Stall

Found this little dingy stall behind Thai Club.

Me and Mrs went there to test out their noodles "Best Vietnamese Noodles In Town".
Most of the customers there are the women from Thai Club.. plenty of eye candy? :O

We had 2 soup noodles (din't manage to catch the picture)..
You can choose your choice of meat for the noodles - we had beef & chicken.

Kinda look and also taste like hor fun, nothing too special actually..
Soup was savoury, but I din't really like the weird ingredients in it..fussy much..

Stall Front

Choice of Meat

Seafood Broth

Tapao back (RM10)

They had this unique seafood broth for a steep price of RM10 a bowl.
However the ingredients inside containts - prawns, mushroom, eyes & sharkfin (?).

It was actually quite nice.. i even came back the very next day to tapao another bowl.
I wouldn't recommend the noodles, but certainly do try the soup..

Red Apron Restaurant Wisma Central

EDIT: relocated to Imbi Market (Pasar Baru Bukit Bintang)  :(

For a relatively cheap rate and a large selection of food near KLCC, you definitely must visit Wisma Central.

There are alot of stalls here and its always packed during lunch hour.
The one's I normally frequent is - Red Apron Kitchen & Sweet Home Restaurant.
I shall speak of the latter at a different date..

For now, lets jump into Red Apron Kitchen... a seeming busy shop during lunch hours.
They have Morning Sets & Daily Specials..

Morning Combo

Food & Rice available

Daily Special (Saturday shares Friday Special BKT soup)

Bah Ku Teh (soup) with Rice RM9.00

Generous portion of soup, tofu pok & meat

Bah Ku Teh isn't complete without Yao Char Kuey (RM 1 or RM2 portions)

Clean and Empty after a satisfying meal

This is one of my favourite outlet to eat during lunch,
I especially like their Pineapple Fried Rice & also the Bah Ku Teh..

Food here is non-halal of course..
There is limited seating during peak hours.
